Terms of use

Plain-English terms for using this site and requesting a quote.

1. Scope

These terms apply to anyone using this website. Compare Private Jets is operated by Charter Jet One, an air charter broker. Using the site, or sending a quote request through it, means you accept them.

2. Broker, not carrier

Compare Private Jets is an air charter broker and is not a direct air carrier. We do not own or operate aircraft; every flight is operated by an FAA Part 135 (or foreign equivalent) direct air carrier in operational control of the aircraft. Your quote and charter agreement name the operating carrier before anything is booked.

3. Specifications and estimates

Aircraft figures on this site, including seats, range, speed and cabin height, are typical values for comparison, and prices are estimates. Individual aircraft differ in configuration, and real performance depends on load, weather and route. Nothing on the site is an offer to fly a trip at a stated price.

4. Quotes

  • No quote binds you or us until a charter agreement is signed, and that agreement identifies the operating carrier and the aircraft before you book.
  • Availability rests on the operator’s confirmation. An aircraft in a quote can go to another client until your agreement is signed and paid as it requires.
  • Operators make the final calls on safety, weather, crew duty time and airport restrictions, and the pilot in command has the last word on any flight.

5. Taxes and fees

Quotes are stated all-in for the trip as described, with applicable taxes and fees included: the US federal excise tax and segment fees on domestic flights, and international taxes where due. Items that can only be known on the day, such as de-icing, extra stops, added catering, longer waits or route changes you ask for, are set out in the quote or agreement and charged as it says.

6. Changes and cancellation

Your charter agreement controls changes and cancellations, including any fees and deadlines. A discounted empty leg depends on another client’s trip and may be retimed or withdrawn if that trip changes; the agreement explains what happens then.

7. What we ask of you

Give accurate details for the trip and every passenger, carry the passports, visas and health documents your destination requires, and follow the operator’s rules on luggage, pets, prohibited items and conduct aboard.

8. Liability

As far as the law permits, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of this site, or for what operators, airports and other third parties do or fail to do. For any booking, our total liability is capped at the amount you paid us for it. Where a limit is not allowed by law, it does not apply.

9. Use of the site

Use the site to research and request flights for yourself, your family or your organization. Do not misuse it, try to disrupt it, or send requests for other people without their agreement. The text, design and photographs here may not be copied for commercial purposes.

10. Governing law

The laws of the United States and the State of New York govern these terms, and the courts with jurisdiction there will hear any dispute, except where the law of your home country gives you rights that cannot be waived.

11. Revisions

We revise these terms from time to time and show the date of the current version at the top. A booking is governed by the version in force when its charter agreement is signed.
