How Compare Private Jets works
We compare aircraft, check operators and arrange charter flights. Here is what we do, what we do not do, and what to expect from request to landing.
What we do
Compare Private Jets is an air charter broker. We help you choose the right class of aircraft for a trip, then source that aircraft from operators who hold an FAA Part 135 certificate or its foreign equivalent. You get one advisor, a short list of real options and an all-in price for each.
The comparison tools and spec tables on this site use typical figures, so you can see how the classes differ before you ask. Your quote then gives the figures for the specific aircraft offered.
What we do not do
- We do not own or operate aircraft. The operator named in your agreement flies the trip and is in operational control of it.
- We do not sell memberships, jet cards or deposits. Requesting a quote costs nothing.
- We do not publish live prices or listings. Charter prices depend on the aircraft’s location and the day, so every quote is built for your trip.
How operators are chosen
Every US charter must be operated under FAA Part 135, which sets rules for maintenance, crew training and crew duty and rest. Beyond that baseline we look at third-party audits, such as ARGUS ratings, the Wyvern Wingman designation and IS-BAO registration, and at the specific aircraft: its age, interior and equipment. You can ask for any operator’s audit status before you book.
What to expect
- Request. Send your route, dates, passengers and anything special: pets, skis, catering, a tight connection.
- Options. Your advisor emails aircraft options with the operator, flight times and an all-in price including federal excise tax and fees.
- Agreement. When you choose, you sign a charter agreement that names the operating carrier and sets out payment, changes and cancellation terms.
- Details. Passenger names, documents for international trips, ground transport and catering are confirmed in the days before the flight.
- Flight day. Arrive at the private terminal (FBO) a short time before departure, meet your crew and board. The same advisor follows the trip through to landing.
